Instructional Design Model

"Having Learnfirm.com customize the SWOT Analysis course for our organization has made training hundreds of employees cost effective and easy to implement."

Mike Head, Native Inc.

LearnFirm.com works closely with their clients to develop training materials based on process, technology and training objectives. They assess training needs, develop detailed training plans coordinate training logistics, and create online training content. They also develop tests and create on the job aids which all contribute to a comprehensive learning experience.

LearnFirm.com’s courses are written using Bloom’s Taxonomy, a classic instructional design model.  Bloom’s Taxonomy states that adults learn by processing through different levels of understanding.

There are six different levels of understanding.

  • Knowledge
  • Comprehension
  • Application
  • Analysis
  • Synthesis
  • Evaluation

Using an instructional model, like Bloom’s Taxonomy, courses follow a set design with quizzes and learning exercises throughout the course.  This tests a student’s understands of the materials presented, ensuring that learning is taking place.  All courses are written to encourage active participation in the transfer of knowledge.

Customized Instructional Design

LearnFirm.com has the capability of customizing any standardized training materials into online learning.   They can create training from any text reference or by viewing a subject matter expert’s video taped presentation.  Customized courses are secured from public view and therefore do not show up on the public site.

Students access customized courses by first entering the group’s password and then by creating a personal profile.  In this profile they create their own user name and password.  Once they have initially signed into the site, they access their customized course using their individual user name and password.  If students forget their password, they can request that their password be sent to them via e-mail or they can contact our office.
